At the beginning, the Duck praised the Kangaroo about the way it hops. The Duck says that the Kangaroo hops so gracefully over the field and the water like it seems endless.

The Duck asked the Kangaroo for a ride in it's back. However, the Kangaroo was having some objection which the Duck solved. After which the Kangaroo agreed for the ride.

In the moonlight pale, the Duck was sitting on the Kangaroo's tail and they hopped the world thrice and there was no one so happy like them.

All these instances proves that the Duck and the Kangaroo were best friends.
