That's something very sad. But don't worry, it's still very much possible to prepare for UPSC that too without any help from your parents. Yes, that's true, you don't need their money to prepare for this exam. And if we discuss about your academic background,it really doesn't matter, especially upto 10th standard because once you enter into standard 11th, you might really love the syllabus, it's not that boring as compared to syllabus upto class 10th. Infact, I have a friend who kind of had a very average- academic performance upto 10th boards. He actually had to suffer in 11th standard as well, because he wasted all his time playing games, but the whole scenario changed when he started studying for class 12th. You will be surprised to know that guy might be one of the students among the 99.5 percentile club in upcoming JEE mains. Infact my sister, she too wasn't really serious about studies at the beginning of class 11th and she wasted some months in 12th as well, but now she is very much into the competition. Not only this but even my Math sir (Anshul Singhal, you can góogle about him :P) he too wasted his 11th and wasn't much into studies even in earlier school days but he started taking studies seriously in class 12th and he secured a rank around 800 in one of the toughest exam - JEE Advanced and he got IIT-Bombay. So,no worries about academic performance, you have pretty much time to improve it. Now coming to the main issue, how to prepare without any financial support, without any coaching, without any guidance. Well, you don't really need a coaching to prepare for this exam if you are well aware of the syllabus of upsc and have a very curious and innovative mind and strong imagination and if you aren't don't have any such qualities then it doesn't matter even if you join the best coaching institute, you will never be able to perform well in this exam. You can prepare for it using YóuTube! Yes, you really don't need too many resources,a finite set of resource is much better than having a whole library. There are various channels on YóuTube which will help you on your journey, just search for them and follow them rigorously, you can't afford to lose consistency while preparing for the toughest exam,if you do, forget about cracking this exam ever in your entire life.
Now, coming to the financial thing. Actually, you can prepare for this exam along with some job. Which of course means that you will have to drop this plan of UPSC until you find a job for yourself and once you have a job, you will be financially independent, you can prepare whichever way you want.. join the best coaching institutes, purchase all types of study material.. you will have complete freedom. Now,let me talk about a girl,my cousin. She was in 12th last year and she took PCB in 11th but wasn't much interested in science, she was actually interested in UPSC. So,she decided to give her board first and get some decent percetntage (she got 92%) and then after that begin her UPSC preparation, you can do something very similar because if you get some decent percetntage,it will be probably easy for you to convince your parents. Remember, you have to be tough to live this dream one day, else it will forever just stay a dream. I have given you all possible ways,no it all depends on how you badlyyy you want to crack UPSC,ALL THE BEST! ;)
