Question:

{\small{\underline{\boxed{\sf{Subtract \: = 2\dfrac{3}{5} \: from \: \dfrac{-3}{7}}}}}}

Solution:

{\small{\underline{\boxed{\sf{\bull \: \: Subtract \: = 2\dfrac{3}{5} \: from \: \dfrac{-3}{7}}}}}} \\ \\ :\implies \sf Subtract \: = 2\dfrac{3}{5} \: from \: \dfrac{-3}{7} \\ \\ :\implies \sf  Subtract \: = \dfrac{13}{5} \: from \: \dfrac{-3}{7} \\ \\ :\implies \sf Subtract \: = \dfrac{-3}{7} - \dfrac{13}{5} \\ \\ \sf Taking \: LCM'(s) \\ \\ \sf The \: LCM \: we \: get \: is \: 35 \\ \\ \sf Now \: let \: us \: solve \\ \\ :\implies \sf \dfrac{-3}{7} - \dfrac{13}{5} \\ \\ :\implies \sf  \dfrac{(5 \times  - 3) - (7 \times 13)}{35} \\ \\ :\implies \sf  \dfrac{(-15) - (91)}{35} \\ \\ :\implies \sf  \dfrac{ - 15 - 91}{35} \\ \\ :\implies \sf  \dfrac{-106}{35} \:  \: or \:  - 3 \dfrac{1}{35} \\ \\ {\small{\underline{\boxed{\sf{\bull \dfrac{-106}{35} \:  \: or \:  - 3 \dfrac{1}{35}}}}}}

Analysis: Hello dear user! Book's solution is correct means you have to put "minus" sign here, it be "negative" not positive. I thought while changing the signs you mistakely put positive sign except of negative. Hope mine answer is helpful!
