2000 cal , 8360 J.

mass of water = 20 gm

Change in temperature = 100-0 = 100

Heat energy required = mass of water (gm)× Change in temperature (°C) cal.

heat  = mass * change in temperaure

= 20 × 100 = 2000 cal

1 Joule= 4.18  * 1cal

=2000 × 4.18 = 8360 J
