Active Voice - Passive Voice

Rules While changing a sentence from Active voice to passive voice:

We know that, a sentence includes a subject, a verb and an object. Example: They play hockey.

Here, They is the subject, play is the verb and hockey is the object.

Active voice: When a subject directly acts on the object, the sentence is in Active voice.

Passive voice: When the object is acted upon by subject, the sentence is in Passive voice.

Points to be noted while changing the active voice to passive: Simply, We need to exchange the place of the subject and the object in the sentence. And the subject becomes the object while changing the sentence from Active to Passive voice.

There's usage of the word 'by' before the subject in the passive sentence.
