My father's Age 5 years ago + twice my age now give 65. My age 5 years ago + 3 times my father's age now gives 130. What is my father's age?

let the age of father and son be f & s respectively

Given,

(f-5)+2s = 65

ie., f+2s=70 ----------- (1)

And,

(s-5) + 3f = 130

s +3f = 135 ---------------(2)

then (2) - 3*(1) => s + 3f -3f -6s = 135 - 210

                        => -5s = -75

                       =>  s = 15

therefore (1) =>  f+2(15)=70

                           f  +30 = 70

                           f = 70-30 = 40
