Rules for changing Direct speech into Indirect speech:-

★ The inverted commas are omitted in the direct speech .

★ The tense of the reporting verb should never be changed.

★ We use linker before the Indirect speech.

★ The first letter with an inverted commas will not remind capital in the invited speech .

★ The pronoun should be changed according to the sense of speech.

Examples:-

➡️He said, "I do it."

He said that he did it.

➡️The boy will say, "I am busy."

The boy will say that he is busy.

➡️The teacher said, "The sun rises in the east."

The teacher said that the sun rises in the east. eternal truth).

➡️He said to his mother, "Are you weeping?"

He asked her mother if she was weeping.

➡️He said to me, "Where do you live?"

He asked me where I lived.

➡️Father said to me, "Let's go for a walk".
