my fathers age 5 years ago plus twice mu age now gives 65. My age 5 years ago three times my fathers age now gives 130. what is my father's age?​

let the father's age be x

father's age 5 years ago=x-5

let your present age be y

then your age 5 years ago=y-5

now according to question,

=> x-5+2y=65

=> x+2y=70----------1

next

=y-5+3x=130

=3x+y=135-----------2×2

subtracting 2 from 1

x+2y=70

6x+2y=270

------------------

-5x=-200

5x=200

x=200/5

x=40

so age of dad = x= 40 y/o
