there are many books in the world . libraries are full of books . But there is no book like Bhagavad-Gita. It is the book which has influenced me the most. it has moulded my character and determined the career of my life.the Bhagavad-Gita gives us the true philosophy of life. it tells us how we should live in the world in conformity with the greatest ideals of life in a day to day activities.
The Bhagavad-Gita tells us what we should do our duty at all times whatever the duty is at the moment and forget everything else. when we do our duty, we should not look for any kind of reward. when our duty is done properly,it is its own reward. we should not do anything for our profits and we should not be afraid of losses. whatever we do,it should be done out of a high sense of duty.

In order to do our duties properly , the Bhagavad-Gita tells us , we should rise above the pains of opposites. Neither cold nor heat should disturb us . We should not care for gains and losses, pleasures and pains . we should keep our minds steady like a flame in a hurricane lamp which is not disturbed by the wind outside. The Bhagavad-Gita embodies a message of lord Krishna to Arjuna in the Battle of Mahabharata. Arjuna was unwilling to fight because he would not like to kill his kith and kin.
But lord Krishna tolds him that was his duty at the moment because they were responsible for much wickedness in the world. Besides, the people whom he was to kill were already killed by god. He was only to lift his sword and they would fall. He was not the killer. True killer was god. the time for the death of kaurvas had come.He was only an agent of the will of God.

There are many books which I like to read but my favorite book is “Alice in Wonderland.” It has been written by Lewis Carroll in 1865. The story is about a little girl whose name is Alice. She is seven years of age. She falls in a rabbit hole and reaches a fantasy world. The story is about the experiences of Alice and is very interesting. There are many animal characters in the story. Many movies have also been made in this story. My English teacher tells this story in a very exciting manner. I like to listen and read this story very much.
