My friend suggested that we should go to cinema tonight.

Indirect Speech:-

• When we change direct speech into indirect speech, tenses are changed.

• If the reporting verb has present tense or future tense, then there is no change in the tense of reported speech.

• Instead of inverted commas, "that" is used in indirect sentences.

• Changing person to convert direct speech into indirect Speech:-

  • Change the first one according to the subject of the reporting action.
  • change the other person according to the object of reporting.
  • And,there will be no change in the reporting action to the third person.

• In indirect speech the change of tense and pronouns is done in the same way as a vocal sentence by first person.
