-My Grandfather's House
Calm Is All Nature as A Resting Wheel
Calm is all nature as a resting wheel.
The kine are couched upon the dewy grass;
The horse alone, seen dimly as I pass,
Is cropping audibly his later meal:
Dark is the ground; a slumber seems to steal
O'er vale, and mountain, and the starless sky.
Now, in this blank of things, a harmony,
Home-felt, and home-created, comes to heal
That grief for which the senses still supply
Fresh food, for only then, when memory
Is hushed, am I at rest. My Friends! restrain
Those busy cares that would allay my pain;
Oh! leave me to myself, nor let me feel
The officious touch that makes me droop again. The questions are. 1. What timi of the day is being in the poem 2. What request does the poet make to his friends. 3. When is the poet arlt rest. please say the answer fast

Answer:

  1. Dusk is what is being said in the poem most probably, because the grass feels lightly wet with the morning dew and the ground is not clearly visible, the reason why the phrase "Dark is the ground" is used by the poet.
  2. The poet requests hisfriends to relax and not care for him everyone together to reduce his pain and to leave him alone because the poet can look after himself else their formal care for the time being will make him feel low once they are all gone.
  3. Question not interpreted! Say it again please
