The nostalgic memory of the last day of my school life flashes across the horizon of my mind occasionally, giving me a chill of sweet memories and sad feelings. Even after several years everything that took place on that memorable day is crystal clear in my mind. The waves of time have not erased those wonderful memories.
With the HSLC Board’s Selection Test being over in October, our days in the school came to an end. Only the farewell get-together was all that was left. All of us, the students of class X numbering about 45, were invited by the staff and other students of the school for the farewell function, a week later.
This was the last day of my school life. The official invitation brought tears to our eyes. We didn’t realise how quickly time had galloped by. As the day of farewell get-together approached, my mind was weighed down by the sad thoughts of departure and goodbyes.
