My litter free village
Cleanliness is one of the most important aspects of our life. Our village is pollution free and air around us is fresh and pure. However, eradication of wastes is the need of the hour. We aimed at becoming a zero-garbage village and actively participated in a campaign.
The target was to collect, segregate and dispose of the wastes from the households under the supervision of a committee formed by the village representatives. It also aimed at collection of wastes from the surroundings and disposal in a scientific manner.
Now, our village has been declared to be a litter-free one, with complete eradication of litter or waste. The villagers have been educated and made aware of the consequences. Our village has set an example for the rest of the country and it is to be followed henceforth.
