1.The tribals were not allowed to collect wood, fruits, hunt and practice shifting cultivation in these forests. This resulted in the loss of livelihood, poverty and hunger among the tribals. ... People who remained in the forests revolted against the unjust forest laws of the government.

2.The basis of the traditional tribal economy in India has been hunting, gathering and small scale agriculture. Tribals would hunt animals for food, gather edible food from plants and practice cultivation in small pieces of land using traditional methods like jhum or shifting cultivation.

3.The invasions of outsiders in the tribal territory was not welcomed. The tribals had to face exploitation and atrocities which made them rebellious. They revolted frequently which was subsided

4.The Naikda forest tribe in Gujarat revolted against the British colonial police in the year 1868 in order to put an end to the oppressive British rule and establish Dharma-raj in India. The term Nayaka is Gujarati which means a leader or a chief of governor.
