Answer - My Mother told me that hard work is the key to success.

Some Points to remember -

When we convert Direct Speech into Indirect then we remove the inverted commas and put 'that' before the spoken words.

Here, The Thing mother told is Hard work is the key to success and It is an universal truth. Therefore there will be no change in these words as it is accepted by everyone and it can't be changed as it is a truth, So in this very case we do not make any changes in the speech as per the rules of Indirect Speech,

The only changes that will be made in this case will be the removal of Inverted Commas and use of 'That'
