The king must have defeated many other kings in his lifetime. That is why he refers to himself as the king of kings but the way he got these worse written below his statue, shows that he must have been very proud and haughty

Ozymandias by P.B Shelley is a sonnet which speaks about the ruined statue. Ozymandias is the name of the throne of the Egyptian king Ramesses. This sonnet depicts the desire of the king to erect a statue in order to immortalize himself.

The king considers himself to be the most powerful among all the kings that's why refers to himself as 'king of kings.' Therefore, through such a statement, it reveals that Ozymandias is an arrogant and boastful person.
