My new subject of maths is "Generating sequences " Can you help by explaining what is term-to-terrm rule ? how to do it? Because I'm really confused​ (a. first term: 1 term-to-terrm rule : 'add 5' ) please help ASAP​

ARITHMETIC PROGRESSION

adding to substract a value from a particular value(which is termed as a) is referred as Arithmetic Progression.

example:5,3,1,-1,-3...etc//here 2 is substracted from the last term.So it is AP

general form::a,a+d,a+2d,a+3d..(a-first term,d-common difference)

GEOMETRIC PROGRESSION

multiplying or dividing a value from a particular value is termed as Geometric Progression.

example:4,2,1,1/2...etc//here 2 is divided from the past term.so it is GP

general form:::a,ar,ar^...(a-first term, d-common ratio)....
