My oneday's experience as a traffic police in 150 words ??​

So this happened in Aug 2020, I was in Jaipur. My mother and I were going to bank. A traffic police stopped me and asked me to handover the licence to him And they asked me to park the car. Then he told me to get out from the car and follow him to some counter where there were 2–3 more traffic police. I was confused why he stooped me. I thought I might have skipped the traffic light and the area was very conjusted and traffic light were not easily visible.

Then he told me that I was using navigation on my phone. And using a phone while driving is an offence. The other policemen showed me the paper that has all the penalties. The first policemen told the second to seize my License. I was really terrified as this was my first encounter. I was continuously explaining him that I live nearby and knows the directions and was not using my phone and I also told him that phone was in my pocket. But he did not listened. Then he asked me to give him 500rs. I just had 200rs. He said give me whatever you have.

Then after coming back from bank he again stopped me. I rolled down the window (I was like yeah do whatever you want I don't have anything left in my wallet :p) and then he asked me to leave.

I was not using phone, was below speed limit, fastened my seatbelt, did not skipped any red light and not using my phone. And I pay all the taxes diligently. Yet..incredible india.

Now if you say why I gave him the money. Because I don't know what to do and I was very scared also I have to log in to office and couldn't waste any more time.
