$a = p {q}^{2} = p \times q \times q$
and , b =
${p}^{3}qr = p \times p \times p \times q \times r$
we know that,

LCM(a,b) = product of the greatest lower of each prime factor, involved in the numbers .

therefore ,
LCM (a,b) =
$p \times p \times p \times q \times q \times r = {p}^{3} {q}^{2} r$
