My Question: (How do I find the starting or initial position on a number line? And I’m not sure if -3 is the starting position)
The Question I’m trying to answer: (Draw arrows on the number line to show that an object started at -3 and walked right 7 paces, then walked 10 paces left.)

-6 is the initial position.

Explanation:

Starting from -3, and then moving 7 places right, i.e., +4. Then moving 10 places left,i.e., moving 10 place left from 4 (-6 ia the initial position).
