My question is that in the given triangle if the triangle is a right angled triangle and if we have to write the ratios of sin , cos & tan and if theta is not given then in place of both angles where should we consider theta? In the given figure theta is taken on upper side can we also take it on the bottom side of the angle?

yes you can take theta anywhere in this triangle but angle will change at two corners except at right angle

if you take Q at one corner then at other corner it will be 90°-Q.....
