There are four years in between 2011 and 2015
In 2011, population is 6809000
rate of increase in population per year is 4.7%
4.7 % of 6809000 is
= (4.7* 6809000)/100 = 320023 (amount of population increased per year)
so there are 4 such years , the total population increased is = 4 *(320023 ) = 1280092
So the total population is
= 6809000 + 1280092
= 8,089,092 is the answer
Hope you understand, if you have any doubts comment ;)(
Note : actually population forecasting can be done by various methods. In the given problem the rate of change in plain is constant so, we can go through arithmetic increase method.
