when prophet mohammed was in hira cave he attain the enlightenment and then he received the almighty word with the help of angel.....

Prophet mohammad revelation took place around 610 AD in Hira cave,which is located near Mecca.
Mohammad used to go to hira cave for praying.One day angel Gabriel appeared to him and told him that God has assingned him as a prophet. This event is known as first reveration.
