Earth was made by a power - some of us call it God, some of us call it the universe, some others call it nature.
As science is finding more and more things about how the earth evolved, we are still struggling to make sense of the event or the power that sparked the creation of cosmos. So, right now God or a power beyond comprehension seems to be a safe bet.
