We're just kids, so we can't go out and clean all the huge mess human beings have created and stop pollution on our own. But we can always do things , according to our capacity, here I list down some.
- Talk about it. Participate in discussions with your friends, family and relatives about the environmental problems and how with simple steps we can contribute in conserving the world.
- Spread awareness. Participate in rallies, volunteer in campaigns.Pollution is mostly caused because of ignorance about activities that are harmful, find out more and remember not everything you hear or read will be the truth.Write articles for your school magazines and organize programmes for kids.
- Recycle, Reuse and Reduce waste more. Recycle old newspapers, books, clothes, metals, glasses and all those recyclable things and encourage others as well.
- Don't spoil the environment. Don't let trees cut, parks transformed into malls, protest whenever you see harm is done to environment.
- Use Bicycles for small distances, never go by car alone, unless you car pool, cars are big polluters.
- Try to get organic food. This doesn't contain pesticides, also animals in organic farms are treated in a better way than factories.
- Turn kitchen waste into useful compost.
- Buy long lasting things , don't buy things you're going to throw away soon.
Earth is our habitat, our home.. Lets not destroy this, make world a better place to live. Baby steps we take can make a difference both in short term and long term. :)
