School is My Second Home

There is a saying that school is the second home and the teachers are the second mothers or fathers. And that it should be true for everyone who is at school. I am new to my school, yet I felt I belonged there already. In my previous school, there are only a few of us and we are like one big family. Here in my new school, I now belong to a bigger community and I think a bigger family but still the teachers are the same. They are like mothers and fathers to me. Everyday I am learning to be somebody someday. My teacher helps me learn the things I need to learn to become a responsible citizen of the country. Just like my mother who is teaching me to always do good and strive for excellence, my teachers are doing the same. In my family, there are only two of us kids, me and my sister. At school, I have lots and lots of brothers and sisters. They are my classmates and schoolmates. They make me happy. I play with them. They play with me. After school is over for the day, we rush to the ground floor so we can have more time to play before my mother picks me up. At school I learned to connect with my teachers and classmates. It is one of the wonderful times of my life. Everyday, I find more friends. School gives me lots and lots of opportunities, to be good and to do what is good. It helps me become more confident with myself. School does not only help me learn things but teaches me to do things. We have co-curricular activities. In my school I joined the Teatro Club. Our moderator told us we’re going to watch movies and learn to act. I am so excited. My loving and caring teachers give me inspiration to give my best. I am learning happiness here in my second home like in my own home where I am happy too. I know I will always cherish every moment in my school life. I will never forget everything that happened here and may yet still happen. Only in the school as my second home I get more excitement everyday. And I look forward to everyday of my school life.

Answer:

My school is called “Luben Karavelov”. It is remembered forever – the first bell, the first teacher. And so far in my mind is that trembling feeling when Mommy took me to school for the first time. I was looking forward to starting the classes and getting to know my classmates. It is a moment that fills the word “school” with consciousness of something unknown, but interesting and enticing. For me the school is like a second home.

Before the change, the lounges and corridors were not so colourful and beautiful. It was somewhat gloomy and not so moody, but now after the change everything is very different.

Walking along the corridors we can not help but notice the beautiful thoughts on the walls: “I believe in my dreams”, “I love my family and friends”, “I follow my heart” and many others. In the process of refreshing the school, children from all four grades voluntarily joined, who with interest and excitement helped the team of volunteers. The boys were carrying the furniture, and the girls helped me to measure and spray the wallpapers for the classrooms. Teachers also got involved by making handmade decorations of strung petals and thread beads glued to the window and the lobby. An initiative was also shown by the parents of my classmate Alexander, who donated their time, materials and work to finish the lobby. They have done it for all of us to feel comfortable and happy in the breaks and to relax and unload. The furniture is in bright colours and fresh tones, soft and comfortable. There are libraries in which each of us can bring a book of favourite stories. Among this nice atmosphere we make friends with students from other classes and talk to each other. Classrooms are more beautiful than ever. Each has its own wallpaper and a different curtain colour. The theme “Four Years of the Year” was chosen for our school because nature brings beauty, peace and peace.

The wallpapers in each room are different because each lady chooses for her room what she thinks would be best for the class. Wallpapers are made chosen with a lot of love so we can read the messages to learn a lot about the life around us. In our room the mistress chose a wallpaper with an open book and a mushroom from which comes a forest spirit. I like the inscriptions very much: “Man is illuminated by knowledge”, “The universe is illuminated by the sun”, “Rain drops decompose the sunlight into seven colours: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and …” The messages give us new knowledge and teach us to be ourselves, to follow our dreams, not to surrender and to be better with each other. Thus, all of us – pupils, teachers and parents – made the school a paradise in which we both learn and have fun. Now it is more beautiful and cozy, we go with pleasure and desire, because the school does not mean only the whiteboard and the homework. Here we get to know, shape characters and tie up friendships.

I love my school, because this is where my starting point begins in life and following my goals and dreams.
