Answer:

8 years is the correct answer.

Given:

my son's age is 1/3 of my wife's age.

my wife's age is 4/5 of my age

my age is 3/5 of my father's age

my father is 50 years old.

To find:

the age of my son

Solution:

let the man's age be X

according to the question,

X = 3/5 x fathers age

X = 3/5 x 50

X = 30

let the wife's age be Y

according to the question,

Y = 4/5 x X

Y = 4/5 x 30

Y = 24

let the son's age be Z

according to the question,

Z = 1/3 x Y

Z = 1/3 x 24

Z = 8 years

so, the son's age is 8 years.

Hence, 8 years is the correct answer.

Answer: son's age = 8 years old

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: my son's age is 1/3 of my wiffe's age

my wife's age is 4/5 of my age

my age is 3/5 of my father's age

my father is 50 years old

To find: My son's age?

Solution:

Let my age be x

It is given that my father is 50 years old

also, my age is 3/5th of my father's age

hence my age will be 3/5*50=30 years old.

Now on further proceeding in the question, we get to know that my wife's age is 4/5 of my age

hence my wife's age will be 4/5*30=24  years old.

Now when we read the question further we get to know that my son's age is 1/3 of my wife's age

hence my son's age will be 1/3*24=8  years old.
