It depends on how seriously you want to walk or run and what are your activities going to be post exercise. If it is a walk, the morning time, specially before the rising sun lits up the horizon is the best as the rhythm of thoughts for a day is yet to set in and the mood of the mind is neutral.

I like to jog in evening because in morning, I do not know as to how much calories I am going to spend at work. But in the evening, I know what balance of calories I am left with to blast . Moreover unlike in morning we don't meet up the regular walkers in the evening. Possibly that is the time that we are with our self and it's time to let mind speak to the body to ensure that all is going well within. The stress is a silent killer . We may appear healthy outwardly, but inside the stress may be working to built an avalanche. In Indian army, we were taught to consider the body as temple for 22 hours to worship but for two hours, consider it as an enemy. Make it suffer for two hours so much so that it behaves smoothly.

A day has 1440 minutes. When we do not want to physically work hard, we always give excuses for being busy. I like to take away 5% of the time six days a week and run as much as I can. I am in US since last five weeks and missing badly my evening jogs at worli Seaface in Mumbai. I have crossed 50 but what I learn in army, I still follow. I follow a target of running 150 km a month. My FITBIT reading of last jog runs as

To stay young and healthy, keep running everyday.
