My teacher has given a unique method to solve trigonometry sums which is to find ratios of sin , cos ,tan ,cosec , sec and cot ???? And my classes have taught me the correct method I asked the school teacher about this She tells she would be giving it right but would also cut half marks from each sum which is crazy I m very fond of Geometry and i cannot wish to be getting less marks in my tests EXPERTS PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION IMMIDIATELY BECAUSE TOMORROW MY PAPER IS THERE

The only mistake is that you have written o=7 h=25. I t should be 7x and 25x since it is a ratio and you never know whether it was 7 and 25 or some multiple of theirs.

Pythagoras theorem as nothing is wrong in this method. trig and pythagoras theorems both revolve around right angled triangles only so there is nothing wrong in using it

But Mahesh Tutorials my classes says that never to use Pythagoras theorem as in this type
See Maths is not about the method. Its about getting the answer to your question. I shoukld not say this but school teachers sometimes say this to avoid teaching additional things in class. No method is worng until it gives you the correct result. Here I am not talking about getting answers by fluke.
But in Boards they generally give marks to all methods as long as your answer and the steps are correct
