see there's a lot of diffrence between mass and weight.
mass is the amount of matter present In the object and weight Is when gravity acts on mass and changes.in our day to day life we say weight but actually it's mass.
the s.i unit of mass is kg .but as gravity acts on weight so we can tell that s.i unit of weight is newton.
hope it helps.
