Let the amount if money my sister has be x.
Then the amountof money I have will be x+100.
My uncle gave a total of 1000 rupees to both of us together.

Forming an equation with the given data:

x+(x+100)=1000
2x+100=1000
2x=1000-100
x=900/2
x=450.
x+100=450+100=550.

Therefore my sister got 450 rupees while I got 550 rupees.

Let the amount that your sister has be x Rupees
then as mentioned in question you have 100 rupees so it means that you have (x+100) rupees.
Now,
Yours money+ sister's money = The total money given by your uncle
x + (x+100) = 1000
2x=1000-100

2x = 900
x= 900/2

x= 450
So money of sister' = 450 Rupees

And you have 450+100= 550Rupees.
