The name of my village is Ramnagar. It is a renowned village in the district of Rangpur. It is an old village. My village is situated on the western side of Rangpur district. It is two kilometers away from the thana headquarters. The village is not thickly populated. It has a population of about three hundreds. Most of them are Muslims. The rest are Hindus. People of various classes live here. Most of the villagers are farmers. Some are businessmen and service holders. Few of the villagers are fishermen and carpenters. There are some educated men in my village. They live brotherly. It is an important village. There are a high school, a Primary school and a girls’ high school. There are also a post office and a big market here. There is a health centre in my village. The doctor in charge of it is qualified. So the people of our village enjoy good medical facilities. The village has easy means of communication. The primary and high schools are really good for the boys and girls for their education. My village is famous for various cultural activities like Jarigan, the boat race and the bullock race etc. The people of my village are simple and honest. It may be thought as an ideal village in INDIA

Villages are a beauty and today`s generation is really missing the beauty of villages. Villages are so silent and calm and pollution free. Though I live in a city with the maddening crowd and sound, my parents used to live in villages and I have been there many times.
Villages are a beauty and today`s generation is really missing the beauty of villages. Villages are so silent and calm and pollution free. Though I live in a city with the maddening crowd and sound, my parents used to live in villages and I have been there many times.Both my parents come from villages, and I look forward to go their places during my vacations. It is so calm and peaceful and the beauty of nature is just fantastic.With not many families around, they know each other so well, that they all almost live like a large family. You could step into your neighbor’s house at any time and you would be welcomed with yummy dishes and snacks. Though the transportation has advanced, there are still places where you need to walk.
