My younger brother's age today is 3 times what it will be 3 years from now minus 3 times what his age was 3 years ago. If my brother is 5 years younger than me, what is my present age?​

3x = 3(x+3)-3(x-3)

=> 3x = 3x+9-3x+9

=> 3x = 18

=> x = 6

so age of his brother = 6
