Answer:

HOLA!!

Explanation:

Most species grow as filamentous, microscopic structures called hyphae or as budding single cells (yeasts). Many interconnected hyphae form a thallus usually referred to as the mycelium, which—when visible to the naked eye (macroscopic)—is commonly called mold.

Mycelium in most of the ascomycetes members is septate.

  • Ascomycetes is known to be the largest phylum of fungi.
  • Some of the important characteristics are as follows:

1. They mainly perform asexual reproduction by producing spores( ascospores) within sacs known as asci. Therefore they are also referred to as sac fungi.

Fruiting bodies, known as ascocarps are common within which asci develop.

Sexual reproduction is also evident in some cases.

2. They can be either unicellular( yeast) or multicellular( Aleuria aurantia).

3. The mycelium is composed of hyphae which is septate and branched.

4. Their habitat is diverse, i.e. terrestrial, parasitic and also found in marine ecosystem.
