I  think you are taking about sum of angle of polygon of n sides.

PROOF :

Take any point inside polygon and join every vertex of that polygon. you will get n triangle.

So sum of angles of n triagles = n × PI

Sum of angles of traingles at vertex inside polygon = 2 × PI(complete rotation)

Sum of angles of polygon = n×PI - 2× PI
