According to the first statement

which says

Amit is on the right of Kapil. Kapil is on the right of Rohit

this says Rohit------------Kapil----------------Amit

both are (valid this is fully valid)

the 2nd one says

Rohit is on the right of Kapil and Rohit is on the right of Amit

which means

Rohit------------- Amit/Kapil

which is not valid

The correct option is option (e) None of these.

GIVEN

Amit is on the right of Kapil. Kapil is on the right of Rohit.

TO FIND

Which of the following 2 statements

is valid.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows;

We can represent the arrangment of positions of Rohit, Kapil and Amit as under;

ROHIT -----------KAPIL---------AMIT

Statement 1 - Rohit is on the right of Kapil.

This statment is false because from the arrangement, if kapil is on the right of Amit, Then Amit is on the left of Kapil.

Therefore, Statement 1 is false.

Statement 2: Rohit is on the right of Amit.

This statment is false because Rohit is on the left of Amit.

Hence, The correct option is option (e) None of these.
