n ( A U B ) = n ( A ) + n ( B )

- n ( A n B )

Given : n ( A ) = 5 n ( B ) = 8

n ( A n B ) = 3

n ( A U B ) = 5 + 8 -3

=13-3

= 10

Therefore n ( A U B ) = 10
