Answer:
Prudence is the ability to govern and discipline oneself by the use of reason.
It allows one the ability to produce good deliberation about behaviour and actions that lead to good ends, also assisting in determining what is equitable. This means that prudence is necessary to the means that lead to the given end because prudence is the ability to deliberate well regarding human actions.
While
Ego is a person's sense of self-esteem or self-importance.
Ego is necessary and important because it does the work to assemble your personality. It manages your fragile identity while you figure out who you are. It protects you from the onslaught of societal expectations and motivates you to work hard and achieve great things.
Hence both are important in a person's life but if we think a bit more prudence cannot cause harm to anyone but ego can.
So, Prudence win.
