Given:

Tax Revenue  = 1200

Revenue Expenditure  = 3,700

Non-tax Revenue  = 2,000

Recovery of Loans  = 145

Capital Expenditure  = 500

Disinvestment  = 120

Interest Payments  = 1,070

To Find:

Revenue Deficit = ?

Fiscal Deficit = ?

Solution:

Revenue Deficit = Revenue Expenditure + Revenue Receipts

Revenue Receipts = Tax Revenue + Non-tax Revenue

Revenue Receipts = 1200 + 2000 = 3200

Revenue Deficit = 3700 - 3200 = 500

Fiscal Deficit = Revenue Expenditure + Capital Expenditure -  Revenue                                             Receipts - Capital Receipts

Capital Receipts = Recovery of Loans + Disinvestment

Capital Receipts = 145 + 120 = 265

Fiscal Deficit = 3700 + 500 - 3200 - 265 = 735
