Answer:

i am of class 9. if any mistakes forgive me

Explanation:

n2+3h2=2nh3

at initial stage 3x   x    0

at equilibrium 3x-a x-a  2a

by question 2a=0.4*4x

2a=1.6x

a=0.8x

substitute it in equilibrium concentrations

then we get

concentration of n2=3x-0.8x=2.2x

concentration of 3h2=x-0.8x=0.2x

concentration of nh3=1.6x

mole fraction of n2=2.2/4

=0.55

mole fraction of h2=0.2/4=0.05

mole fraction of nh3=1-(0.55+0.05)

=1-0.6

=0.4

we know that

kp=partial pressure of (nh3) ^2  / partial pressure of n2 * partial pressure of h2 ^3

kp= p^2(0.16) / p(0.55) * p^3(0.000125)

kp=2327/p^2
