In order to balance the above chemical equation

apply hit and trial method

   \sf \:{N_2 +  \:H_2  \:  \: ➪ \: NH_3}

On LHS we have 2 atoms of Nitrogen and Hydrogen.

On RHS we have 1 atom of Nitrogen and 3 atoms of Hydrogen.

so , we'll balance Nitrogen first by placing 2 before Ammonia on RHS .

Now , Nitrogen got balanced but we have now 6 atoms of Hydrogen on RHS which could be balanced by putting 3 before H on LHS .

so , got the balanced equation as follows

   \sf \:{N_2 +  3\:H_2  \:  \: ➪ 2\: NH_3}

Hope this helps you to resolve your problem !!
