Explanation:

N2+H2=NH3

N2+3H2=NH3

we have to take sufficient atoms between the reactants and the product side so that number of atoms become equal

Now, from the given equation we see that in the reactant side nitrogen has 2 atoms but in the product side nitrogen is 1 it is not perfect so we place 2 before nitrogen, hence nitrogen become balance but as we place 2 before nitrogen the same 2 also accepted by the hydrogen as it is a Compound, Now the hydrogen have 6 atoms but in the reactant side it is only 2 so to make it six we place 3 before H2 now it also become 6
