नीचे दर्शाए गए परिपथ में वोल्टमीटरों और एमीटरों के पाठ्यांक होंगे :
(1) V₂ > V₁ तथा i₁ = i₂
(2) V₁ = V₂ तथा i₁ > i₂
(3) V₁= V₂ तथा i₁ = i₂
(4) V₂ > V₁ तथा i₁ > i₂

V_{1}  = V_{2} \\i_{1} < i_{2}

Explanation:

V= IR

v = voltage I = current R = resistance

In fig 1. equivalent resistance of the circuit is 10 ohms.

reading of voltmeter is equal to the voltage drop across the resistor of 10 ohms.

using kirchoff's law calculate the current flowing in the circuit.

10- i_{1}×10=0

i_{1} = 1 amps

V_{1} =i_{1} R

V_{1}  = 10 volts

IN fig 2. equivalent resistance of the circuit,

       \frac{1}{R}=  \frac{1}{10} + \frac{1}{10}

R = 5 ohms

apply kirchoff's law

10V - 5i_{2 =0

i_{2 = 2 amps

Equal current passes through both the resistors since resistance is same in both the branches.

voltage drop across 10ohms resistor = 1amp×10

V_{2} = 10volts

hence

V_{1}  = V_{2} \\i_{1} < i_{2}
