The founding of NAM was done by 5 nations namely Egypt , India , Yugoslavia , Indonesia and Ghana .

• Josip Broz Tito leader of Yugoslavia .

• Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru from India .

• Gamal Abdel Nasser from Egypt .

• Sukarno from Indonesia

• Kwame Nkrumah from Ghana .

The first meeting of NAM was held in Belgrade in 1961 .

The recent meeting was held in 2012 in Tehran .

NAM provided third option to the world rather than joining 1st world and 2nd world
