पुत्र, जिस प्रकार तुम अपनी माता के दुःख से दु:खी होकर व्याकुल हो रहे हो, उसी प्रकार मैं भी दु:खी हूँ।
रात-दिन मैं इसी चिंता में रहता हूँ कि किस प्रकार भारतमाता का दुःख दूर करूँ। महाराज, यह शरीर
आपका है। मैं प्रतिज्ञा करता हूँ कि जब तक इस शरीर में जान है, मैं कभी मातृभूमि की सेवा से पीछे न हदूंगा।​
