NaCl is a solid and CCl4 is a liquid .why?

CCl4 is a covalent compound made up of molecules, the heigh dielectric constant of water remains unaffected.

While NaCl easily dissolves in water because it is made up of ions and bonds between them can easily be weeken by water's height dielectric constant.
