Nacl is soluble in water but caco3 is insoluble why?

both are the salt . but nacl is able to make bonding with water na and cl ions. the hydration energy can break into lattice energy of sodium chloride.

again tha calcium carbonate is not able to make bonding with water ca and co3 ions .the hydration energy can not break into lattice energy of calcium carbonate.
