Nafisa is twice as old as Sakina. Five years ago her age was three tmies Sakina's age. Find their present ages.

Answer:

Let there ages be x and y respectively.

Given that

x=2y....(i)

and

x-5=3(y-5)

x-5=3y-15

x-3y=-15+5

x-3y=-10...(ii)

Putting valueof x in ii,

2y-3y=-10

-y=-10

y=10

thus

x=2y

x=2*10

x=20
