Answer:

Let x be the value of the car

 Rs.450 more brought a percentage difference of 13+5=18%

=> 18% of the value = Rs.450

=> 18x10018x100 = 450

=> x = 450×10018450×10018 = 2500

Value of the car = Rs.2500

Nagmani had a car to sell. loknayak offered him a sum of money for the car that he refused as it was 13% below its value. loknayak then offered rs 450 more and the second offer was 5% more than the estimated value. what was the value of the car?

The value of the car was Rs. 2500

Given:

loknayak offered him a sum of money for the car that he refused as it was 13% below its value. loknayak then offered rs 450 more and the second offer was 5% more than the estimated value.

To find:

The value of the car

Solution:

Let x be the value of the car

Rs.450 more brought a percentage difference of 13+5=18%

This is because earlier the price was 13% below its value and now it is 5% above

So Rs. 450 has firstly covered the loss of 13% and then the profit of 5 % hence, Rs. 450 = 18% of value of car

=> 18% of the value = Rs.450

=> (18*  x )/100= 450

=> x = (450×100)/18

= 2500

So, the value of the car = Rs.2500
