Nail paint cannot be washed or remove with water but can easily be removed by using nail polish remover. Why?​

Answer:

Nail polish is a laquer that has an acetate and nitrocellulose base. These compounds don't mix with water and therefore can not be removed with water. You need to use acetone to remove nail polish.
